I’m having trouble setting up Windows. My SSD was replaced with a GPT partition and MBR, but neither worked. I’ve used UEFI, it installed but then wouldn’t boot to Windows. After installation, trying legacy boot didn’t help. Now I receive this error message. I’ve also tried ATA and AHCI, but nothing works. Also, I had Windows on an HDD before, but it doesn’t function properly with the Dell OptiPlex 3020 BIOS version A03.

Prepare the drive by formatting it first. The system recognizes it as raw, so apply the correct format before proceeding.

Restart the system, then configure the boot to use UEFI and AHCI for SATA. Run the installation tool, remove any existing partitions from the device and format it with NTFS, which will handle the conversion to GPT automatically.

In UEFI mode it could set up Windows, yet the SSD wouldn't be seen as a bootable drive post-installation
