the initial pages of internet browsers take longer to load
Hi there,
I'm experiencing some slowdowns with my desktop computer. It takes 10 to 20 seconds to open the first page in any internet browser, and every new page or tab adds that delay. The same happens with search functions—typing in takes the same time to load. Once playlists are open, it feels responsive again.
I've checked for issues with browsers, malware, and even cleared my browsing data, but nothing seems to be wrong. I've also run updates for antivirus and malware software, updated my Wi-Fi drivers, and installed the latest Windows updates. My other computer works perfectly, so the problem might be specific to mine.
I've tried providing system details, and everything looks normal.
Any advice would be really helpful!
Attempt a clean boot to determine if it resolves the issue—follow the guidance carefully. Ensure no Microsoft services are disabled or Windows fails to load. If the clean boot helps, it suggests a startup program is causing the problem. Over several restarts, stop the programs and identify which one is responsible.

Update your post with complete hardware details and operating system information.
After the next startup, avoid launching any additional applications or browsers right away. Allow the desktop to remain idle.
Then access Task Manager or Resource Monitor, using each tool individually.
Monitor system activity: track resource consumption and identify high usage areas (%), noting which component is consuming the most.
Shift the observation window to one side and launch the specific browser or application.
Check the window for any performance changes during slow loading.
It might require several attempts to pinpoint the problem, but a clear issue is likely to become apparent.
Tried this too, nothing shows up with heavy use. I've checked my desktop's resource manager against the laptop, and processes are similar when opening a new browser window.
Wifi is naturally less fast compared to wired connections. Additional factors like interference might also play a role. Make sure only one network adapter—either wired or wireless—is active on the desktop. Choose either option, not both simultaneously. Identify which wireless adapter is currently installed.
