I possess a pre-built machine equipped with an RTX 3080. Irrespective of the monitor or connection type, it fails to show any image. Oddly enough, connecting the cable directly to the motherboard makes the integrated graphics function properly. This problem affects both BIOS and Windows 11. The GPU isn’t recognized by Windows in Device Manager. I attempted reinstalling drivers using DDU. I switched to a different GPU that only required PCIE power, which resolved the issue. I also tried an older 1080Ti; it worked briefly but then the fans spiked and the screen went dark. After reconnecting to the motherboard, it displayed through integrated graphics, though it appeared as a second monitor since desktop icons were missing. It’s unlikely Windows is the cause because the issue persists with BIOS too. Could it be related to the PSU power cables or the power supply unit itself?
