The iexplorer.exe process is slowing down your computer's performance.
While working on my aunt's laptop, I ran Malwarebytes and noticed it was running slowly. Checking Task Manager revealed that iexplorer.exe was consuming most of the CPU and memory. Since she used Firefox, I assumed no malicious process was open in IE, so I ended that process. After a while, iexplorer.exe reappeared and kept using all resources. I continued running the scan to confirm if it was a virus. I found and removed it. Now the virus is gone, but iexplorer.exe keeps appearing and consuming excessive CPU memory even after ending it. My friend suggested it might be a zombie process, but I need more advice from others. Please help.
