I really hope everything works fine. I just found out that max boost clocks work for only one thread when other tasks are minimal and thermal limits allow. You mentioned in the earlier message that you should go for the highest frequency processor you can afford. That chip would be 9700K plus overclocking. But the lack of threads and smaller cache is what concerns me the most. HTTP is nice to have, but I don’t need it much.

9700K offers 8 threads and operates at high frequency. I don’t know many games that handle more than 8 threads, so it shouldn’t be a big problem. HT reduces some performance per core when enabled, which is why the 9700K still delivers well—cores don’t share resources for extra threads. A 9700K running at 5 GHz on modern 14nm chips would perform nicely, while a 3700X might need a higher minimum frame rate.

You can't change the 9700k to have more Hyperthreading, but you can enhance the 10700's performance close to a regular 9700k by adjusting power settings and performing some BCLK tweaks. It's up to you.

Avoid purchasing the 2080 Ti. The RTX 3070 offers comparable performance at a lower cost. For 1440p or 4K, consider a Ryzen processor since your GPU needs become more critical at higher resolutions, particularly in 4K.
