Hello, im bulding a gaming pc, and i waiting for Coffee Lake to release.
Im wondering if someone can give me opinions or recommendations about my new rig.
Case-Phanteks p400 Tempered Glass
CPU-i7 8700k (waiting for release)
GPU-Gtx 1060 (i know i could get an i5 and 1070 but this is my build and im not looking for another cpu-gpu combo)
SSD-Samsung evo 850 250gb
HDD-Seagate 2tb 64mb cache
PSU-EVGA 550w b3
MOBO-MSI Z370 A PRO (waiting for release)
RAM-CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 8gb ddr4 2400mhz (I know i should get 16gb but i will do it later in 2 or 3 months)
CPU Cooling- Corsair h100i v2 or hyper 212 evo?
My main issue is that i know theres a big difference on the price, but i need to know if the i7 8700k can be coold by a hyper 212 evo or should i get and h100i v2 (Im going to overclock just a little this year and the next years i will be overclocking it hard). Thanks and sorry for bad english.

absolutely, definitely if you really want to make it super hard it will be much better!!!!

Consider the possibility of encountering compatibility problems when purchasing a single RAM stick and then adding another later. It's usually safer to buy RAM in kits designed to function properly together in dual-channel mode.

Please think about the potential compatibility problems if you purchase a single RAM stick now and then add another later. It's usually safer to buy RAM in kits that have been tested for working together in dual channel mode.
Thanks for your reply, but what exactly causes compatibility issues?
on intel side no.

When you add the second stick, it becomes possible.

So we're discussing an old air cooler and an H100i? The difference isn't huge. Closed-loop coolers aren't particularly outstanding overall. They're common but don't provide much extra cooling compared to a regular air cooler. Just because it's liquid cooling doesn't guarantee it's excellent at that. Also, overclocking depends heavily on the person doing it more than the cooling hardware itself. Your understanding of how to overclock is much better in real-world temperatures than relying on buying an unnecessary cooler.

Also, overclocking settings are more dependent on the person doing the OC than the actual cooling solution itself. Your understanding of how to adjust frequencies is more useful in real-world temperatures than investing in an unnecessary cooler.

So, what should we suggest?

I own a H100i GTX but it isn't performing as expected. It functions, but I believe a better fan cooler would help. I'm considering upgrading to a more efficient AIO or even a custom loop build if necessary. The 8700k tends to overheat. Turning the turbo off is a good idea. Overclocking can lower temperatures, though I haven't had much time to experiment yet. I'm still figuring things out but I know I need a superior cooler with a larger radiator.
