The i5 7600 CPU is underperforming compared to expectations.
Hello everyone, this is my first thread and my englsih ins´t the best so please be gentle with me. So i have a new PC since 1 year (built it by my self), but i feel that my cpu performes worse than it should, when i look at cinebench scores. And i can´t realy play games without lags even if the game requiers a less powerfull cpu. Here is some data, so some guys who have more clue than me, maybe can help me: CPU- i5 7600k (not oc) GPU- MSI 1080 8G OC RAM- GSkill TridentZ 3000mHz 16GB Dual channel cl16 Motherboard- Asus PRIME Z270-P CPU Cooler- BeQuiet Rock Slim OS- Win 10 Professional Cpu temp in Idle: 37C (24C ambient temp) Cpu Usage in idle: ca. 8% (going up to almost 60% when opening Chrome or a game) Cpu Cinebench R20 Score = 1483pt the most Cpu´s reach ~1700pt So is there anything you can see whats allready wrong with my system or do you have any suggestions what i can do to improofe my cpu performance. Thank you for every helpfull comment.
I notice a potential slowdown here, bud. The 1080 is quite powerful and shouldn't be matched with an i5 processor. I recommend checking the CPU usage in Windows 10 and comparing it to your GPU load.
It seems your GPU is strong, but the game sets itself to a higher level by default. This could strain the CPU because it might struggle to keep up.
Would Intel stock be affecting performance during the R20 test? It seems likely due to the extended duration and the chip's specifications.
BeQiuet Pure Rock Slim is a lightweight formulation designed for ease of use.
I understand the slowdown issue, but it shouldn't affect my CPU speed or Cinebench results.
I'm not sure if the 1700 figure is genuine or overclocked. It's about 15% higher than what you have, which usually matches typical overclock numbers. (My score is around 4000 on my 8700k at 5ghz, where a stock 8700k would be about 3437—roughly a 15% rise). It could be okay if that's an OC value. Regarding stutters... 4/4 in 2019 should handle it.
I turned off all background applications. The CPU increased to 4.2 GHz since there were no overheating problems.
