Sorry to mention this old discussion, but it seems the upgrade to 7700k isn't justified. I prefer playing on a 240Hz monitor with an 1050ti, especially for League of Legends at 1080p.

Your CPU performs significantly better than the GPU, so consider upgrading to a new GPU right away. Even if the GPU isn't being used much by the CPU, the game is more CPU-intensive. I'm asking whether this CPU will be able to manage the monitor's 240Hz at 1080p. As seen with the 1050ti, it can handle it well.
