I wasn't sure there'd be much difference between the two RAM makers—focusing on frequencies, timings, etc. I'm checking 2 3200Mhz kits from G Skill and Kingston: HyperX and G-Skill. I'm comparing the 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz kits and noticed they look very similar in voltage, speed, and package. Is this just about price or personal preference? I don't see any details on the specific chips, but it seems Hynix is likely. Thanks.

Opt for the more affordable option—no change in performance or longevity. The chips will function similarly because they come from the same frequency and timing range.

For OC purposes, prioritize G.Skill; otherwise, Kingston works well. Fury RAM claims self-OC capabilities in its ads, while Trident employs a standard die, offering clearer timing data.

Don't purchase the Trident Z RGB. The lighting software is poor and causes issues with everything. You'll need to run a special voodoo dance to fix the LED lighting. My units are now permanently dead, likely due to a corrupted SPD file. They may offer an RMA if possible, otherwise I'll dispose of them.
