The Hyperx Cloud 2 is producing unusual sounds at lower volumes.
Hello, I've been using my Cloud 2 for about two years without any issues until recently. When I tried activating the 7.1 surround with the headphones, the sound quality changed, especially the bass. Now it's happening even when the 7.1 mode is turned off. The volume is still at 50 percent, and I can still hear it. Could you help me figure this out?
We need more details about the issue. Is it related to analog or digital interference? Understanding whether it's an analog type or digital type can aid in pinpointing the problem. The connection between the speaker and the amplifier is analog, not digital. After the DAC, the rest of the system operates differently. Digital and analog each present distinct challenges.
It sounds like a faint crackle that’s barely noticeable but still clear. It doesn’t occur often, but when it does it becomes quite bothersome. I moved the cable around in the port to see if it helped. The audio card seems slightly damaged, and it’s been in this state for about two years—so if there was an issue from the start, it should have shown up sooner.
The bump in the cable might be due to a loose connection or misalignment. Check for tightness and ensure everything is properly secured.
I accidentally burned the material at the bump area, but now it looks a bit better. It seems the cable had an unusual position before, possibly forming a cyst.
