The HP computer stops working and not producing any output after unintentionally removing the Radeon software.
Hello everyone. I have a server computer in my basement used for Minecraft servers and other tasks. I wanted to play Rocket League but couldn’t access the radon software. It seemed unresponsive, so I tried opening another version because that usually worked on my other machine. I visited the website, downloaded the updated installer, and followed the prompts. While installing, I noticed a warning about uninstalling the display driver, which might cause it to flash. After about ten seconds, the screen went blank except for a cursor-like symbol. I restarted the computer several times, tried safe mode, but it kept showing a black screen with a line through it. The issue only happened on my old GPU when using a 1440 P resolution monitor. Could anyone help me understand what’s going on? Thanks.
Is the system equipped with integrated graphics? You might want to change to that for a clearer view of GPU-based rendering. A blank screen displaying a line indicates a display output, but it could also point to another hardware issue. Testing a different GPU could help confirm the problem. Still, it seems the Windows setup might be causing the concern.
I believe the problem is probably not hardware-related. It seems to have happened while updating the graphics driver. Since I can use the BIOS and it’s not the GPU, I think the CPU likely doesn’t have integrated graphics. Should I try booting from the Windows USB instead?
