Hello, thanks for your message. I'm using an i5 4690k with an ASRock Z87 Extreme4 and a GTX 980 Ti. After a regular day, I powered down my PC and tried to boot it up without a display. During troubleshooting, I discovered the top PCIe slot isn't functioning. When I swapped in a second GPU (GTX 970), it worked fine, but placing it in the second PCIe slot didn't help. My GTX 980 Ti is too long for the available space. Do you have any suggestions or should I consider replacing the motherboard?

Ensure no burnt marks remain and that the surface is fully clean.

I can't take pictures or attach images directly. However, you can describe the motherboard and PCIe slot in detail, and I’ll help you format that information clearly for the thread. Also, let me know which power supply you’re using so I can include that in your post.

Everything proceeded smoothly. I ran the CPU again and everything looked normal. Odd.
