Hi, a few months ago an old HDD named E:\ stopped working, and since some applications kept failing to install, Java reported errors like "Error 1327: Invalid drive E:" along with similar messages. I suspect the issue relates to the registry and outdated program keys interfering during installation. I've checked the Shell_Folder in my registry, but all relevant data points are on my C drive. Any advice would be appreciated—I'm really frustrated. Thanks.

Have you attempted a fresh installation of Java? Avoid altering the Registry, as it might lead to additional complications. Data and settings for applications are typically saved in the Program Data folder. Have you checked there?

I resolved the issue using CMD and the uninstall command. I attempted to remove all Java packages before, but that didn’t work.
