I was curious about whether these electronic cards, like SSDs, RAM, graphics cards, and motherboards, have a predicted lifespan. Do they fail unexpectedly without warning, or do they provide a warning before they stop working?

They have the option.
I don’t expect anything. I’d think any equipment can stop unexpectedly without notice or cause.
Act in that way.
Based on your situation, a warning might not be necessary. You’re ready or you aren’t.

Lifespan is typically displayed as MTBF on the product's website. MTBF values appear on storage devices, fans/AIOs, and PSUs. This information isn't usually found on motherboards or GPUs, according to recent checks. Regarding overclocking, it's important to maintain optimal coolness because MTBFs drop significantly with increased heat.

my motherboard failed suddenly, without any warning. the computer shut down abruptly, and i realized it was her. having visited technical support before, i knew she was facing issues. the technician informed me there was no chance to save it, so i had to purchase a replacement without prior notice. it left me feeling shocked by the instability and lack of security.

Estimated lifespan is influenced by various factors, mainly environmental ones. It's challenging to provide a precise estimate and there isn't a solid mathematical basis for a rough approximation. When failure occurs suddenly or a warning appears, both scenarios are possible. For sudden failures, the bathtub curve describes failure rates, indicating that hardware often fails within the first 30 days of use or after years. Even then, only one part may fail prematurely if it's overworked, causing the rest to last longer. Regarding warnings, they typically manifest as unexpected errors or an increased frequency of them. For instance, hard drives may begin accumulating errors quickly when a drive is failing.

I've experienced components failing gradually, abruptly, and under different interpretations of "slow."
