I hope everyone is enjoying a pleasant day or night. My PC has been functioning well until recently, when it started showing frequent BSODs—about once or twice daily for the past two to three days. After that, I decided to wipe and reformat it. Now it won’t let me install Windows properly; every time I press a button or take any action, my drives vanish. It turns out the HDD is fine and can be used for installation, but the M.2 slot still causes problems. I’ve attached a video of the issue (shaky, sped up): https://imgur.com/a/nlbCPzU. Details: Motherboard MSI B460M PRO, M.2 ADATA Swordfish 250GB HDD, 7200 RPM WD Blue (WD10EZEX), 16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, RTX 2070 Super GPU, Intel Core i5-10600 CPU. I really need assistance fixing this!

It reminds me of kids being told to tidy their room, but then there are images of hard drives running away on tiny feet in fear. That’s pretty strange for a SATA mechanical drive. SSDs usually handle this better. The fix often involves re-flashing the BIOS. Another issue exists, though—there are admin tools in Windows 10 that can help with this. I’m an old hand at command lines, so maybe Scannow and FixMBR could work. Just make sure you have an MBR instead of a GPT drive.
