I own a HANNSG 28inch LCD that has functioned well for nearly three years. It operated perfectly last night, but this morning it displays a completely white screen without any OSD or other indicators. I altered the source, cable, and reset the monitor, yet nothing resolved the issue. Could this indicate a problem with the LCD panel itself, or is it something more straightforward like a failing capacitor? Any advice would be appreciated.

it's been nine years, but i figured it was worth a shot. i own a hanns-g monitor (a 1920x1080 22-inch model, though i'm not sure of the exact make). it usually showed a white screen when turned on, although sometimes it worked especially when it got warm. i checked inside and found two large capacitors—both 1000 microfarads, 16 volts. they were connected in parallel, so i swapped them out for a single 2200 microfarad capacitor. now the monitor is functioning properly again. i'm leaving this note for anyone who finds it while searching online.
