I'm playing games on an ASUS ROG Strix G15 with an R7 6800H and RTX3060. I tested War Thunder and BattleBit but don't see the GPU usage at 99%. When I enable Ultimate in Stable Diffusion GPU mode and turn off Fan Mode Turbo, I get 99% GPU usage. The display shows 300Hz and 144fps on photos, which seems like a coincidence since I also saw 120-160fps.
War Thunder has very modest system requirements because (like most F2P trash) their monetization strategy is to cast a wide net for players and then milk them with "microtransactions" (by which I mean planes and tanks that cost as much as entire games), so they don't want to exclude people with weaker hardware. Battlebit is expressly designed to run on almost any hardware, the recommended GPU there is the GTX 600 series from 2012. Why would you expect either to maximize your GPU? Why is maximizing your GPU desirable in and of itself? Are you satisfied with the actual performance you're getting in both games?
You seldom encounter 99% utilization on a GPU. Synthetic tests can fully engage a GPU, but real applications often have inefficiencies or overhead, causing delays while other tasks run. At work, I handle software for big data and GPU-heavy processing, which rarely pushes the GPU to its limit. Could you be asking if you're experiencing performance problems with those games?
