CPU i91300ks GPU 4090 game rock edition RAM 64 gig PSU corsair rm 1000e motherboard asus prime z790-p wifi my computer screen turns black and fans spin at maximum, this occurs randomly during heavy use and idle. I've already verified my RAM, run diagnostics, performed a clean driver reinstall in safe mode, connected HDMI to the board, and everything functions normally. Occasionally I briefly increase fan speed but the system remains stable. It seems the issue is likely with the GPU itself. I’ve tried online fixes and tools, but nothing resolved it. I’m not very familiar with computer troubleshooting. This setup has had this problem since it was built, and when I opened a support ticket I found myself locked out of my Gmail where the receipt is stored. The account recovery process isn’t working properly. There’s also a recurring fault code logged in the system logs.
It's quite challenging to pinpoint exactly when the issue arises. It often occurs while gaming in Ark ASA, especially when my PC is idle and fans reach their maximum speed. Sometimes it turns off completely with a black screen. The timing isn't consistent—sometimes it happens within an hour, other times it can take days. I ran the sfc /scannow command to check for corrupt registry files, but it could be days or weeks between incidents before it starts acting strangely again. Restarting my PC sometimes helps temporarily, though it might recur later. I also removed the CMOS battery and reset it, but I'm just trying different things without much success. Additionally, I have Hardware Acceleration enabled, so I'm considering disabling it to see if that resolves the problem. It could take a week before it happens again, or it might occur more frequently as I write this.
