Recently my GPU is overheating a lot, reaching up to 85°C without using the AC. The hottest part is between 107°C and 109°C. Initially, I took it to a store, told them the GPU was too hot, they applied thermal paste, but after a few days I brought it back and the issue persisted. Now, when playing games or doing demanding tasks, the fan speed sometimes jumps to 4800 RPM. My GPU is an RTX 4070 Ti from Gigabyte OC, and even at 100% fan speed it only reaches 3000 RPM. The store said the problem was due to full GPU load, but when I tested in an AC environment at the store, the temperature was still 80°C with the fan spiking. They suggested ignoring the temperature and installing an AIO radiator on top, but it feels inconvenient to bring it back. What should I do?

You should anticipate temperatures above 90 degrees for your GPU. It's typical for active GPUs to exceed this range.

Not typical, most GPUs reach a TJMax near 80°C, with hotspots below 100°C. Usually they stay under 70°C or 90°C. Your elevated temperatures could stem from high ambient temps (around 30°C+) and/or insufficient airflow. How does your cooling and fan configuration work? Also, excessive CPU heat can warm the case interior, causing GPUs to overheat—this happened with a 2060S in a poorly ventilated BQ DX500 case.

Anticipating a range of 75 to 77 max since that’s typical at full capacity a few months back. Another major issue is the fan speed never staying within normal limits; my GPU behaves as if it’s exceeding 100% capacity, which is only 3000, but it can jump to 4800rpm—far beyond normal and producing a very loud noise.

It's summer in the northern hemisphere. Where are you located? What's the room temperature like?

I am residing in the northern part of Vietnam where the temperature is currently chilly. Inside, it's probably around 26°C to 27°C, while outside it's about 25°C.

Airflow remains stable with the front fan, back fan, and top fans all running at full speed. Removing the side glass helped because it was even hotter there. The room temperature is between 25 and 27°C, and even with the AC set to 22°C, the GPU stays very hot at around 80°C. The hottest spot reaches between 100°C to 104°C.

Your airflow appears as described. Which situation are you experiencing?

Yes exactly that my airflow, I don't remember what my case is but it look identical to the image and the AIO radiator is higher than what is shown in the image, no blocky thing in the top front of the case

80C/100c remain usable even if not excellent, but I think there might be an issue with the GPU cooling—possibly due to improper mounting pressure and/or poor pads. Consider repasting with TPM and possibly replacing the pads.
