The GPU is experiencing crashes.
Hello! My PC has been crashing for about four weeks now. I contacted NVidia and Zotac, but they couldn’t help. Since there are many knowledgeable folks on the forum, I decided to post here. The issue is a black screen with the GPU fan always running at full speed. It happens every time I launch a game—whether it's osu!, Overwatch, Valorant, Lost Arc or Apex. The game crashes instantly, and the temperatures stay around 40°C during boot. I’ve tried reinstalling drivers (using DDU), reverting to an older Windows version, reinstalling the GPU and cables. My PC specs are i7 7700, 16GB RAM, GTX 1070 Ti. Feel free to share more details if you need. Thanks, Max
What kind of motherboard are you using? When was the latest BIOS update for your motherboard? I've experienced similar crashes, but after updating the BIOS it resolved the issue for me.
Verify that the device is completely seated in the PCI port. I installed it on a tower 900 and rushed through the setup, leaving it hanging from a bracket. This caused black screens and unusual fan behavior because the top was pulling the card out due to the display cable’s rigidity. If it arrived, it might have come loose.
