The GPU fails to initialize.
RIG: Intel i5 3450, 8 GB DDR3, 1600MHz MSI GTX 1660 super gaming, Gigabyte H61ms rev 1.1, Corsair cx750m PSU. Yesterday I faced issues when setting up my PC. My monitor didn’t receive a signal sometimes, and the PC wouldn’t power on. The 24-pin PSU was loose, so I replaced it. After that, the system booted fine. When I tried MSI Afterburner, it asked for an update. Clicking updated the graphics but then my monitor went black, forcing a restart. The next time I opened a game, the screen turned black again, the GPU sped up, and I had to shut down the PC. Temperatures were normal. Now my GPU won’t start—no lights or fan—but when I used the built-in GPU, everything worked except sound and network adapters. I suspect a PCI slot issue, so I checked another GPU that worked. Is there any chance the BIOS is faulty or does my GPU need repair?
No update was applied, yet the system continues to run with its built-in graphics card.
