You've just purchased an RTX 2070 Super Founders Edition to swap in for your 1060. I need to check if the PCIe slot on your MSI Z170a gaming M5 motherboard is compatible. Additionally, you're using a Fractal Design R5 case—let me know if you have any concerns about that setup too.

Your current graphics slot matches the one on your RTX 2070 Super, and the PCIE port works fine. The Define R5 also fits bigger cards without any problems. Which power supply are you using?

It's an Evga Supernova G2 80+ Gold 750W. I'm mainly worried about the huge heatsink—it covers the RAM slot completely. It's quite overwhelming, especially since the PC was given to me and the owner mentioned needing a new motherboard because of the large 2080 Ti and the slightly longer PCIe slot. I'm not sure what to expect next.

The video card is positioned beneath the cooler and doesn’t cause any issues. This setup provides a solid power connection that pairs well with the PSU.

He wasn't sure about his concern, but I think it's the PCIe slot 3x16. The Founders Edition measures 267mm, and I bought it directly from NVIDIA since Amazon had a version priced $100 higher, which is quite surprising.
