I'm not sure if the cooler is working properly, but it seems to be struggling with a room temperature of around 21°C now that it's about 25°C. Even if the fan were running at full speed, it probably wouldn't push it up to a +20 rating.

If you locate your thermal paste, consider reapplying it. Since you haven’t done it before and there’s no indication the prior install was faulty, it might still be suitable. The paste you used for your CPU could be Arctic MX-4.

It should be noted if you or the professor haven’t done it before, thermal pads might also need replacement. Yes, I’d start by trying a paste change first for now.

It seems the fan on the card didn’t function properly—no sound or movement before you submitted it, and now it’s not working at all. This appears to be a problem for your Corsair 5000D Airflow model, especially since it’s designed to handle high airflow. Is this an issue you need to address?

The repair didn’t seem to fix the problem since the fan wasn’t working before. Was the repaste effective?

It didn’t help much, and it’s not doing much better. The situation is already tough—I don’t believe thermal pads will raise the temperature significantly. Since I don’t have funds for a replacement, there aren’t any further options left.
