Upon opening GeForce Experience, I receive an error message stating “Something went wrong. Please try restarting GeForce Experience.” Despite reinstalling the software and attempting all troubleshooting steps, I am unable to launch it and update my drivers.

What Windows edition are you using? Have any updates been installed?

I also have a Ryzen 3 1300X processor, an EVGA GTX 1050Ti with factory overclocks, and 16GB of RAM.

I experienced an issue with my GTX 980 graphics cards. Trying installing a driver version two or three revisions prior resolved everything for me. It took me some time to discover that and it was incredibly frustrating.

I experienced an issue with my GTX 980s. Attempting to install a driver package two or three updates prior resolved the problem for me, though it took some time to discover. That solution failed; switching from version 3.16.0.140 to 3.15.0.164 produced no change.

The problem is that the Nvidia GFE application fails to start completely, making a previous driver unsuitable. When you mention “reinstalling,” could you clarify your process? Are you referring solely to the GFE program, a repeated installation, or a complete removal followed by a fresh install?

The problem is that Nvidia GFE simply doesn’t start at all, making previous drivers unusable. When you mention “reinstalling,” are you referring only to the GFE application itself? Or did you perform a complete reinstallation, followed by a removal of the original program first? I uninstalled the software and then attempted to install an older version, but it still fails to launch.

Consider using IOBit Uninstaller (be sure to carefully review all pre-checked options during installation to prevent unwanted additions of Avast software, etc...) to achieve a more complete removal. Eventually, you’ll need to re-install Windows to rectify this issue...(you might be able to attempt a repair install and save your data to minimize the need for a full reinstall).

You might want to experiment with IOBit Uninstaller (be sure to carefully review all pre-checked options during installation to prevent unwanted additions like Avast software, etc...).

Eventually, you'll likely need to reinstall Windows to address this issue...(you could attempt a repair install and back up your data to minimize the need for a full reinstallation).

IOBit Uninstaller was successful, then I installed the latest version and it launches.
