I was wondering if it’s using the Intel card instead of the Nvidia one. There are a couple of ways to tell:
The framerate in that game will likely be terrible if you're using the Intel card.
Run a benchmark like the latest 3DMark and see if your scores match similar systems.
Well, the game runs supersmoothly until it crashes. I even set the NVIDIA-card as the standard option for both games manually, but this still persists...
I am not saying this would be a permanent solution, but you can go in an increase that page file another 4 GB without too much ill effect and see if that helps.
I’m able to play Fallout NV smoothly for about thirty minutes now (with FV4 and DOS2 for a shorter time). However, they still crash with an Out of Memory! error or simply shut down… FNV is playable like this, so I appreciate that.
