Hello, I'm experiencing difficulties with Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and 4. The game frequently crashes after about five minutes, without any error messages. I've reviewed the crash logs for Black Ops 3 but found none. For Black Ops 4, I see an error related to GPU initialization, GL being disabled, and an ANGLE issue. I've tried numerous fixes so far, including switching OS versions, updating drivers, disabling antivirus, and using Malwarebytes. Windows updates and switching to Windows 11 didn't resolve the problem. My system specs are listed below: i9-13900k RTX 4080 OC, MSI B760 Gaming Plus, G.SKILL Trident Z5, DDR5 6400mhz, NZXT Kraken 280, Corsair RM1000x, Samsung 990 PRO, 2TB Windows 11. This is my last attempt before considering further solutions.

Check the temperature and consider boosting the RAM speed to around 4800MHz or the lowest default setting. Have you checked if the 990pro's firmware has been updated? Both products came with default firmware.

I’m encountering the same error on the latest MW2 version. The only differences are that we’re both original copies (with a 3070) and both triggering safe mode alerts. I’ve looked up a “safe mode bug” but haven’t found any fixes. I sent support logs, but they haven’t helped yet. I removed the original copy, though I’m still unsure if that’s the problem. It doesn’t seem to be related to the drivers since I’ve tried several older ones before using GeForce. The issue might have been resolved by enabling FSR3 mods for a few games, but you’re on a 40 series system, so that’s unlikely. Since the crash only happens in one Call of Duty game, it could be tied to that specific mod or setting. If you have any suggestions or solutions, please share them.

The temperatures stay cool, not hot. It worked just now and the game stopped working again. I installed the latest firmware when I first received it. I didn’t experience this problem before, but it’s been happening for about two months now.

I just recalled your discussion, I faced a comparable problem and resolved it on my machine. The issue stemmed from using a mapping tool for emulators. Since it was rewritten, verify that no similar software is installed.
