Well there's a sort of release... the main module release which is everything except you controlling the person on planets or in fps mode I think is coming out all as one package.

SC seems to have bigger ambitions compared to Elite. Elite is mainly a space sim, while SC aims for much more. I’m not really following these updates myself.

Final release isn't anticipated for another several years. However, CIG has informed us that a substantial portion of the PU content is already in development and is almost ready for alpha/beta testing. The game's actual PU version, packed with numerous features, is slated to begin public testing by year-end. Although a delay to early 2016 remains possible.

Perfection takes time. I believe he isn't overly driven. He and his group have consistently delivered what they promise. We currently have AC, Racing, and soon FPS. Following that, we'll add SQ42 and Persistent Universe. He stands out as a leader in game development.

That's correct. I mentioned it in the previous post.

I’m not questioning anything. I’m just noting the developments so far and how disappointing they seem.

It’s reasonable to stay thoughtful about the situation. I’m not sure if you should feel overly anxious, but it’s wise to remain cautious. Everyone should exercise extreme care before committing funds, since the project sits at a crossroads between pre-order and early access. It’s worth noting that stretch goals continue to rise as funding flows in. Given their current business approach, they should be able to sustain revenue for a considerable time—likely as long as they keep delivering updates and adding new features. They recently set a record for the largest crowdfunding campaign of its kind, reaching roughly $30 million. As they approach a stable release version, they might have gathered hundreds of millions in total. Much of their progress will depend on effective management. If they align their goals with actual income, completing them should be manageable. My main worry is that the game might never reach a definitive launch; instead, it could remain as a patchwork of ongoing updates for years. One must hope eventually enough content becomes available so players can actually experience the final product. This differs from a static experience like Arena Commander, which I personally find less appealing.

You notice they haven’t set a stretch goal in more than a month, yet they still reached 4.5 million since the previous target.

I don't pay attention to the game closely enough at this stage to have caught anything, but I believe that highlights my argument. It suggests a level of restraint and careful consideration regarding stretch goals.
