I’ve never played Fable before. Some of my friends said the first game looked like a low-budget copy of Elder Scrolls at that point.
It's available only during the holiday season. The plan is for customers to purchase it for Christmas on Xbox One, as that's the sole availability. Alternatively, you might consider waiting a few months before opting for the PC version.
It was initially promoted as an Xbone-only title. Later, Phil Spencer clarified it was a limited-time release. The PC version is now slated for launch several months after the Xbox console. The PS4 will support it only after Christmas next year. The future of its PC availability and whether it stays exclusive to the Windows 10 Store—similar to Fable Legends—are still uncertain.
Even with a 750 TI at maximum settings, no stress FX could reach 40-50fps
Square Enix frequently hires third parties to release PC versions of their western titles, and Nixxes has proven skilled at this process. They delivered impressive ports such as Tomb Raider 2013, Deus Ex: HR, Thief, and Hitman: Absolution. Nixxes has already confirmed responsibility for the PC release of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, though they haven’t announced involvement with Rise for PC just yet. It seems a bit odd, but I’m concerned about possible interference from Microsoft since they previously handled publishing for at least one platform. The “maybe it’s exclusive so you’d better buy an Xbone!” scenario left a sour impression.
