Before relocating to my family's new apartment, I played CS with nearly all graphics settings at high levels, maintaining an average of 200-300fps on community servers, MM, faceit, etc. After the move and PC setup, I observed CSGO struggling with extremely low FPS, often dropping below 100. I suspected a graphics driver issue, so I waited for a new Nvidia driver release, which arrived a few days later. Installing it didn’t resolve the problem, and my FPS still hovered around 100. The situation wasn’t due to airflow issues, as my PC now has more space than before. A couple of points worth noting: other games I played in my previous home worked perfectly without any FPS fluctuations, and my GPU temperature during CS sessions was between 60-65°C—now it’s around 50-53°C, which is a positive sign but still concerning since other games push the GPU to 65°C. This makes me suspect CSGO itself might be affected, not just my hardware. I’ve tried reinstalling the game and adjusting all settings to low, but nothing has improved. My current specs are i5-10400f and RTX 2060 Super.

Ensure the GPU power connector is secure and check all power cables on the motherboard. Re-seat everything as needed.

After relocating from my previous residence to our new apartment, I began experiencing significant performance drops, especially during CSGO sessions. I've largely resolved the problems, but the FPS remains inconsistent. Although it returns to normal levels around 200-300fps, it frequently falls below 100 and only recovers slightly when looking upward or at walls. Notably, the GPU temperature also decreases simultaneously with the FPS drop in-game. When I open Task Manager, close it, and restart CSGO again, the issue seems to resolve temporarily, bringing FPS back to the expected range and allowing the GPU temperature to rise as usual during gameplay. Despite these fixes, the problem persists throughout my gaming sessions. I'm now seeking clarification on what might be causing this behavior. Below is a picture (with apologies for the low quality) illustrating the GPU temperature drops, marked in red circles. These temperature fluctuations coincide precisely with the moments when my FPS falls below 100. This pattern appears consistent across other games, except for CSGO, where I haven't observed similar issues yet. Imgur: The magic of the Internet

After relocating from my previous residence to our new apartment, I began experiencing significant performance drops, especially during CSGO sessions. I've largely resolved the problems, but the FPS remains inconsistent. Although the frame rate returns to normal levels (200-300fps), it frequently falls below 100 and only recovers slightly to around 150 when I shift my focus upward or look at surfaces. Notably, the GPU temperature also decreases simultaneously with the FPS drop in-game. When I open Task Manager, close it briefly, and then restart CSGO again, the issue seems to resolve temporarily, bringing FPS back into the expected range (200-300fps) and allowing the GPU temperature to rise to its usual level during gameplay. Despite these fixes, the problem persists throughout my gaming sessions. I'm now puzzled about what's causing this and reached out for assistance.
