I own a Dell Windows 10 PC (purchased a year ago from Best Buy). It doesn’t perform exceptionally well, but it functions adequately for basic tasks. A few months back, something unusual occurred. While playing Genshin Impact (Windows version) on my PC, it became extremely sluggish to the point of being unplayable. Even moving through menus was nearly impossible. Previously, I could play the game smoothly at low FPS with standard resolution settings, and it ran quickly when using low graphics. Now, navigating takes minutes, and moving between locations is nearly impossible. I attempted various fixes such as reinstalling the operating system and updating everything, but no solution was found, so I stopped playing. At this stage, the rest of the system appears to be operating normally.
Recently, the same issue appeared with another game I play, Final Fantasy XIV. It also experienced severe slowdowns in loading and rendering speeds. Even the loading screen was unresponsive. Checking settings via Configuration took several minutes, which was unusual even before logging into the game. I used low graphics settings for FFXIV to prevent low FPS, but it previously ran adequately (though slower). Now, it is completely unplayable.
I have tried everything: updating drivers, reinstalling the games, scanning for malware, and even performing a full Windows reset with data wiping. Nothing has resolved the problem.
Apart from these two games, other functions seem to work without issues (I primarily use this PC for those two games, BlueStacks 5 games, a web browser, and Netflix).
Anyone have any idea what might be causing this?
Sadly, finding a good and affordable GPU is difficult at the moment due to limited availability. The same models that cost around $130 when new in 2019 are now selling for $300 to $400 used, even with newer versions coming out.
Are there any unused spaces in the SDA card? What's the CPU temperature?

In fact, I'm considering this. The PC is only around $500, so a GPU shouldn't be too expensive otherwise upgrading wouldn't make much sense compared to just getting a new one. Also, can we be sure it will resolve the issue? Is there an affordable GPU currently available that can handle the job you mentioned? I wouldn't mind doing it if it's within a reasonable price, is available, and can fix the problem, but I'm worried about what might happen if it doesn't actually work.
Have you used the drive manufacturing tools to assess the condition of your storage devices?
