I'm trying to understand why my games still stutter even though I'm getting solid 160+ frames in titles like CoD and PUBG. At 2K with ultra or close settings, the issue persists. My hardware includes an RTX 3090 FE, RYZEN 5 5600X, and 16GB DDR4 GSKILL RAM (two 8GB modules). I recently bought a RYZEN 7 7800X3D thinking it might fix a CPU bottleneck, but I haven't upgraded to a new motherboard or added DDR5 RAM yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It seems there are issues with microstuttering or low performance. I’d check for background software, monitor component temperatures, and consider upgrading to 16GB RAM—especially given your GPU selection.

Assess your memory usage. 16GB is usually manageable for modern games, but hitting the page file may lead to stuttering. Use an FPS tracker to record low frame rates around 1% and 0.1%, which help identify stutter patterns. If RAM isn’t fully utilized, run HWInfo64 in the background during gameplay. It will generate a log of sensor data, allowing you to analyze performance issues.

The high RAM usage you're experiencing isn't excessive for most systems, especially during demanding games like MW2019. It depends on your hardware and the game's requirements.

The system operates at a suitable level for performance, though it doesn't reach maximum capacity. Data logging confirms this status. Report generated via HWInfo.
