Most of my games are running poorly, but the issue is unusual since my frame rate stays high—like in Dying Light 2 I see 104 fps even when stuttering occurs. I looked at Nvidia performance data during stutters and noticed a sharp drop from 80 to 40 FPS (depending on the game). This suggests a consistent 1% drop each time, happening almost every game. Initially, I thought it was just the game, but now I suspect my PC has been struggling since the build date in November 2021. The worst part is that stutters get worse over time, affecting more games as months pass. Forza Horizon 5 started smoothing out after launch, but now random stutters appear when driving or loading areas. I've reinstalled Windows, changed drivers, tried different RAM, and even swapped the PSU, but nothing resolves it. It seems there might be a persistent hardware issue rather than just RAM problems. I’ve removed all my old components—CPU, GPU, motherboard—and still can’t confirm the cause. Could you help me figure out what’s going on? My system specs are listed above.

The issues might include overheating devices, a weak GPU, and insufficient RAM. Consider reinstalling or replacing the RAM. You appear to have adequate power for your RTX and i7, but verify if any parts are getting too hot.

Weather conditions affect GPU performance more than just high GPU temperatures. Most games run smoothly with temps under 70, while many newer titles like Forza Horizon 5 or Dying Light 2 maintain stable readings between 64-68. However, summer heat can still impact CPU performance, keeping it around 60. Motherboard and RAM temperatures aren't typically the main concern here.

your ssd operates smoothly when it stays adequately cooled, which helps prevent issues similar to what you're experiencing on your laptop. i'm checking if the ssd might be overheating or becoming sluggish due to poor thermal management.

It might be that your PSU isn't strong enough to supply your GPU properly, or your RAM could be outdated and slower now. Good luck!
