This machine has been functioning adequately for roughly a month. However, last week several games I was using stopped unexpectedly—meaning they refused to load or even start. The crashes appear immediate and don’t display typical error messages. They happen with every title tested, such as Cyberpunk 2077, Hitman 3, Far Cry 6, and Grounded. All were operating within expectations before the issues began.
I suspect, though I’m not sure, that the crashes started after an update to the ASUS driver manager software, coinciding with some internet connectivity problems.
I’ve attempted standard troubleshooting: checking game files, reinstalling drivers, rolling back graphics drivers via Device Manager, and reinstalling AMD chipset drivers from the official site. Despite these efforts, the crashes persist.
Could you offer any suggestions on possible causes or next steps for resolving this?
Additional notes
The Reliability History displays all CTD events, with one notable entry showing a "Windows Error" just before the first recorded crash. This indicates a hardware-related failure affecting Windows stability.

PSU is a Corsair HX1000 1000 Watt unit. It appears to be brand new, though this might not always be accurate...?
The entire system is only about a month old. I tend to play games intensely on weekends, but it’s unclear if such heavy usage can be sustained for that long.
The Reliability History section lists all the CTDs, and roughly two hours prior to the first recorded CTD event, there’s a "Windows Error" displayed with these details:

Other sporadic crash logs are also present, such as NVIDIA Container (possibly during driver reinstall), C++ framework issues, and LEDKeeper.
There are also several Informational Events recorded about thirty minutes after the initial Windows Hardware Error, and again just one minute before the first CTD. These entries reflect updates concerning Windows, Microsoft.NET, and Armoury Crate.
this suggests a problematic driver situation.
run these commands before updating drivers:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
sfc /scannow
after that, restart in safe mode, use DDU to clear GPU driver, and reinstall the GPU, chipset, etc.
I follow these steps carefully: I run the four commands using Run in sequence. After that, I reboot to safe mode. To uninstall the graphics driver, I use the provided link. Remaining in safe mode, I reinstall the GPU and chipset drivers, then restart and test. When running DISM and scannow, should I be checking for specific issues or is it fully automated? Also, should I remove the chipset drivers or just the GPU? (I noticed a Reddit discussion suggesting Armoury Crate may have broken some chipset drivers for at least one user, which supports my concern about a driver problem.)
When you use any application showing information on the display—such as MSI Afterburner or a similar graphics card utility—turn it off and check whether the games launch properly.
I haven't used overlays, especially Steam ones, and didn't activate any new programs prior to the issues beginning.
Hello, thank you for reaching out. I want to clarify that this problem remains unresolved, and I’m careful to ensure I address it properly, avoiding any unintended consequences.
I plan to remove and reinstall all chipset and GPU drivers. Microsoft’s Uninstall Troubleshooter includes more than a dozen AMD programs—eight drivers plus others unknown. Should I remove everything labeled as AMD, including non-drivers, or just the driver entries?
Additionally, how should I create a backup? I previously used the Backup and Recovery tool on Windows 7, but that feature appears to be gone in Windows 11.
