I'm facing the same persistent problem in several games—Witcher 3, Battlefield 4, BFH, Need for Speed Rivals. It's happening across platforms, and I'm not sure what's behind it. I can play Borderless mode, but it doesn't match the performance I expect; constant stuttering keeps occurring. In Witcher 3, I resolved it by setting high priority in the task manager, but that didn't help with the other games. BF4 seems to be the main issue. Any advice or fixes would be really appreciated. Thanks Smile

This problem occurs with multiple games: BF3, BF4, The Witcher 3, and GTA V. It happens even when fullscreen is enabled or when a second screen appears. Other older titles work normally. It began a few days ago.

I've attempted it and it mostly works, but sometimes it reverts to windowed mode or fails entirely with Witcher 3. It's a bit frustrating. Could this be specific to the 970 version or is it affecting other GPUs as well?

I'm not sure, I posted a few months ago and nobody replied. Probably no one had the same problem. Just tried it in BF3 and it just flickers—switches to fullscreen briefly before returning to windowed mode.

I believe I've figured it out—does your system have DSR turned on in the NVIDIA control panel? I had it disabled and now fullscreen game mode is working.

It seems the custom refresh rate is being applied in the control panel, which might be causing the issue. The problem could be related to that setting, as it was functioning properly before.

I was using 65Hz on my monitor since it doesn't significantly affect OC, but it's fine. I had two DSR factors turned on; when I turned them off, the games appeared to switch to fullscreen.

It seems there might be an issue, but it appears to improve slightly with a higher refresh rate and windowed playback instead of the default settings.
