I was attempting to format an SD card using some software, but it didn’t work out. The card keeps crashing every time I launch a game. I’d rather avoid having to restart the computer.

What information does the event viewer provide regarding your crashes? Does it simply shut down or display a BSOD when it fails? We need more details about the software you installed prior to the issue.

The game called Dead Island PC 2 tends to crash, particularly during cut scenes. Turning off the graphics option named AMD Fidelity resolved the issue.

You're participating in multiplayer games with built-in anti-cheat measures. These systems are designed to prevent cheating, but they can sometimes cause instability or crashes. If you switch to another game afterward, the anti-cheat may remain active, potentially interfering with your new game and disrupting its performance.

I haven't relied on any shortcuts. I had to reset my operating system by reformatting the OS drive and reinstalling Windows.
