Hey everyone! I just set up a new modlist and Skyrim is now crashing intermittently—lasts about 5 to 10 minutes. I switched to a clean save file this time. Here’s the setup:
PC specs: i5 4430, 3.0GHz, Quad-Core ASUS GTX 760 DCII OC, 8GB DDR3 RAM (1333MHz).
Mods: Mod Organizer, SKSE, ENB.

There are too many mods, perhaps that's the issue. It could be they're all conflicting, or your PC might not be able to cope. Try removing some and check if the problem persists.

There are limited modifications available. You can increase RAM allocation for Skyrim, which improves performance during heavy mod usage and extended gameplay. It seems this option was found in a SkSE configuration, but I had to upload the file myself. So far, it’s been very effective.

If mods are in conflict, it usually shows as an immediate crash during gameplay. When the crash occurs, several reasons might apply. It could be due to reaching the maximum RAM usage of 3.1 GB, which triggers a crash. Use the Skyrim Performance Monitor to check if the issue happens at specific spots or consistently. I encountered a problem with a savegame where I couldn't access Falkreath; it crashed after loading a mod called Scenic Carriages. You mentioned another mod that behaves similarly. Have you tried starting from a completely new savegame? This is the most reliable method to determine if the problem lies in your savefile. There aren’t many mods, but I mostly use 186 ESPS plus numerous texture packs. No issues so far.

Mods may lead to crashes if not arranged properly or if they alter other files in Skyrim. Use the Boss version for Skyrim as well as Wyrebash (correct spelling?).

This game has way more modifications than I thought I could handle. Are any of those updates conflicting with each other? I used to get crashes every couple of hours when I first added mods. The only solution was resetting my GTX 670 to its original settings. Your GTX 760 seems to be pushing back too hard. Have you checked your CPU and GPU usage while playing? Even with a more powerful setup than yours, my usage stays around 95-100% with just 17 mods installed. You have a lot of room!

I crashed immediately after launching an MCM menu this time. I haven’t tried the SKSE feature yet, which might be causing memory issues. VRAM usage exceeds 1.6Gb and RAM stays under 1GB. I’ve tested LOOT (an enhanced version of BOSS). I’m unsure if any mods conflict with each other. I also ran wrye bash. As shown in the screenshot above, my GPU temperature stays below 60 and I’m maintaining around 60 FPS. It seems you might be running very demanding mods like JK’s Skyrim.

Consider using SKSE for loading Skyrim. Some mods may not function without it.
