We must have the precise model number and age of the PSU since there are both good and bad units. It's unclear if Gold and 850w are consistently good or bad. If you don't have the box, the PSU should have a label on the side with the complete model details.

Temperatures might vary, but there are several readings available. Does your program provide memory and GPU temperature data? Also, could the GPU fail if you reset it to factory settings?

Ah okay thank you I was only aware of temperature being the reason, but now I see that other stuff might be cause the problem. I use openharware monitor for temps and the max temp I have seen is 72. so temperatures are the the problem and that's why I was confused
I will post the details of it when I get home

I believe the GPU will remain at just one temperature, so I should verify this again.
Edit: I've confirmed it only displays a single temperature for the GPU.
The GPU itself isn't being negatively impacted by the overclock yet—currently it's running with the lower OC settings and no crashes or issues.

cards now automatically adjust based on temperature and fan curves. If you lower the voltage to keep it cooler while keeping the fan curve unchanged, the system gains extra thermal flexibility to increase performance.

Check for any error messages, alerts, or data logs in Reliability History/Monitor and/or Event Viewer. Focus on records near the moments when failures happened.

I plan to search for ways to undervolt it and see if that improves things.

there are no issues with the PC itself, only game-related errors. an unreal process crashed during EU-Discovery. the specific failure occurred in D3D12Submission.cpp at line 994 due to a DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED error, reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG. nothing else was reported.

Just to confirm—no warnings or informational messages about the PC should appear?
In Device Manager:
Are there any devices marked with errors?
= = = =
Checking for DXGI issues: I searched online to find related information:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/for...e-removed/
https://www.makeuseof.com/dxgi-error-dev...r-windows/
Other sources also came up.
My advice is to review those links and solutions carefully, without taking any action until the issue is more clearly defined.
Notes:
1.) Avoid downloading tools that promise to fix the problem.
2.) Refrain from running scripts or code meant for troubleshooting.
3.) Keep Registry edits to a minimum; back up your system first before proceeding.

I executed the "dism" command, then ran "sfc /scannow" and it reported nothing was found. I will check those links and see if they help. Thank you very much.
