He recently upgraded the graphics card and hasn't used it for CS:GO since then. He only plays CS:GO when using that specific card. Thank you for the tip!
there isn't an equivalent to a blue screen that causes everything to go dark, even the monitor lights, and the computer restarts on its own. His power supply provides 600 watts.
Only with CS:GO, right? That’s a bit odd. I’m not sure what to recommend. By the way, going back to the PSU for a moment—do you know who makes the 600W unit? @Abdul201588 asked about it earlier, thanks to him, I’m guessing it’s either the GPU or the PSU that might be the issue, though I’m still not sure.
He appears to be using a power supply unit, though it seems the system might fail under stress. Running at peak power usage could trigger issues.
That does look like a fairly old PSU and I can't say I've heard of that manufacturer for a long time but you should probably consider replacing it for a better and safer long run in case it happens to take out the other components as well leaving you with even more possible issues. I don't necessarily think the Graphics Card is at fault here but that's just my initial guess. Also, is the CPU or GPU overclocked at all?
Also @Layc, if you're uncertain about which PSU to pick, I can point you to someone on the forum who might have useful advice. They're really helpful and would love to offer a recommendation tailored to your budget for just the PSU.
