This should have been addressed earlier in Troubleshooting. Hello everyone, I tried launching RE4 and it opens in windowed mode before switching to full screen. A cursor appears where I can move it, but nothing else works. When I first started, a notification asked me to download WMVideo Codec. All my research points to this being a Windows N problem, though I’m located in North America with Windows Media Player installed. I’ve double-checked the game files via Steam and updated my GPU drivers. My graphics card is set to XMP, and Windows is up to date. I’ve tested launching in windowed mode. My system specs are: Ryzen 5800X3D, Radeon 7900XTX, 32GB RAM at 3600MHz with XMP enabled. Power supply is 850W Gold+. Operating system is Windows 10 Home, version 22H2, with the Windows Experience Feature Pack installed. This issue has also affected several Capcom titles I’ve downloaded recently, including Resident Evil VII and the RE4 Chainsaw Demo, where the game fails to reach the title screen.
