When your CPU finishes its assigned work promptly, it can reduce its clock speed to conserve energy. This approach differs from putting the system to sleep, yet the overall aim remains the same. You might increase the CPU speed if another demanding program runs in the background while you play a game.

In theory, your CPU can operate at 0 MHZ, but in reality this doesn't happen with Windows and its background processes. A reduced clock speed is completely acceptable. Don't worry about it—most people don’t create videos clarifying what’s unusual. Enjoy your day!

I've never seen the clock speed drop on my 7700x or 9800X3D; it consistently runs at its maximum boost frequency during games. However, PBO is turned on on both CPUs.

I’m running in normal mode, and my CPU has consistently stayed at 5100MHz throughout. That suggests it’s probably fine.

It looks like the system runs smoothly without noticeable slowdowns at higher clock speeds. Consider turning on PBO in the BIOS settings.

I might be the most confused person on Earth. The issue was I was checking the clock for CPU core 1 instead of the real CPU speed. LOL
