I'm playing modded Minecraft on my machine, but despite steady 60fps numbers from both in-game and system counters, the game still feels sluggish. My monitor is set to 60Hz and I cap my game's frame rate at 60.

Checking for display issues, are you using v-sync? Which processor and graphics card are you running? How much memory is set aside for Minecraft?

It's been a while since I last played, but sometimes v-sync fails. Consider turning it off.

I need more than 60 frames per second for Minecraft; I want at least 70 FPS for a smooth experience. Around 150 FPS would be great, and ideally 300 for a better feel. Vanilla performance is my goal.

No particular cause for excessive RAM usage was identified. Consider turning off v-sync to see if performance improves.

You're using a demanding modpack and need extra memory.
