Attempted again with closer inspection of the details. This approach works when FPS is extremely low, though improvements depend on future CPU threading updates. The main challenge remains. A solid optimization for a powerful CPU—Ubisoft’s internal work. See the link for more info. Playing heavily with Radeon Pro, double VSync, and Riva Tuner at 30fps makes it run smoother and at 4x MSAA now. It seems the best way to handle next-gen Ubisoft titles is a synchronized, frame-rate-controlled 30fps experience.

Hello everyone. I'm testing this on an overclocked AMD 7970M. Everything is set to ultra, and I'm achieving around 30++ FPS. But I'm experiencing some microstuttering in certain scenes. I've already done the MIP fix, but I haven't tried it yet—I hope it resolves the issue. My questions are:

- Even at ultra 1080p with SMAA (the FXAA 2x was too heavy before the MIP fix; I'm planning to test it), the GPU isn't being pushed beyond its limits. Temperatures stay around 86°C max. Yet in Far Cry 3, I was playing at 97°C for hours without any problems, even though I wasn't using ultra. What's happening here?
- In the XML file, I added `<RenderProfile line="...">` and then later changed it to `<CustomQuality>`. Does this mean the game is rendering at 720p first and then upscaling to 1080p? That seems strange.
- I have V-sync enabled in normal mode, and FPS fluctuates between 30–60 depending on the monitor's refresh rate. Adaptive is locked at 30fps, which feels like internal G-Sync. What should I set for smoother gameplay?
- How can I adjust the HIDInputRemapper.xml so that the scroll wheel controls both next and previous weapon buttons?

Thanks!

Hey everyone. Adjusting the MIP to 1 ensures high-quality textures remain visible up close. This setting doesn’t affect all textures—big mountain cliffs, weapons, etc., stay at the level you choose in the menu—but certain items like climbable edges, animal details, plants, and rocks will use lower quality versions.

Thanks for sharing that insight @Rhazzt & deathjester. It helps to know the community’s take. For most users, it works just fine now, though it can be tough without a stable CPU load. As long as the issue improves, I’m managing with the semi-LQ problem.

Followed the provided guidelines, but the issue persists with frequent stuttering, particularly during driving. Adjustments needed—currently using the 'NVIDIA' preset.
