This claim isn't accurate. I didn't link my Steam profile, but the beta launched in late 2011. You can find more info at the provided link. The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Beta started on November 30, 2011 and ran until August 21, 2012. It's clear there were significant updates over time—changes in tagging, recoil, matchmaking, maps, weapons, and more. While some aspects weren't perfect at first, the game has evolved greatly since then.
If you're targeting 128 ticks, why not increase to 256? The music seems like a clear attempt to boost profits, and by restricting supply, they're also controlling marketplace sales. I find it interesting when people sell items for less than what they originally paid Valve for them. The new community stickers are a perfect case in point. @ Charger
