I just upgraded my computer yesterday from an i5 7400 to a 10700k, but Warzone keeps crashing whenever I adjust settings. I even tried booting in safe mode, which didn’t help much. The game doesn’t crash during play, but it freezes in the menu and I can’t launch any games without issues. I reinstalled the game, checked the drivers (they were up to date), and reinstalled them again. I’m not sure what’s causing the problem. Even with the 7400, it would have been stable. Any advice would be appreciated.

Operating at up to 58°C and 5GHz performance, I own a 360mm Galahad AIO.

You have an RPM 650X power supply unit. You need to find out its power consumption.

I've faced similar problems with other titles, and Fallout 4 (on Game Pass) was particularly troublesome. The only solution that helped was moving the game to your SSD instead of your HDD. Honestly, it shouldn't really matter—though it’s worth a try if you want to see if it improves things. Regarding storage, do you have enough space or can you expand it to fit Warzone on your SSD? It might not be necessary for the game to run, but it could make a difference. Besides, are there any background programs linked to your new CPU that might trigger crashes? It feels like a coincidence, right? I’m not very technical, so I don’t have specifics, but it seems plausible given how quickly this issue started. And do you notice the temperatures are normal?

Does the program simply end with a desktop crash or does it display an in-game warning before closing? If you capture the error screen, looking up those codes could assist in pinpointing the cause. Are you using the most recent chipset driver and BIOS update for your setup? Over the past two weeks I've experienced crashes where the in-game message suggested updating my graphics drivers. It turned out the latest drivers from March 30 were the culprit, and reverting to version 461.92 resolved the issue. My game would crash midway through and then repeatedly cycle through menus.

I possess the newest drivers and bios. When my game crashes, a message appears: "Directx failed something something." I also tried to look in the readme for guidance, but it wasn’t available.

I’m having trouble downloading the game onto my SSD since it’s only 120 GB and I have 45.6 GB available. My friend suggested that a more empty SSD performs better, which makes sense. The temperatures are normal, and I never reached full speed—maximum temps stayed at 62°C.

I realize the file size might seem excessive, but I get it. I’m not sure if the idea that a fuller SSD is better applies here, since it could be useful regardless—though I might be mistaken about that.

I'll accept the driver update you mentioned. You should also check if DirectX is up to date. If not, install it now. Then try executing FurMark to observe the results.
