So I don't know why, but honestly my Wi-Fi is pretty bad—it's really fast, like 8Mbps (I've never seen that before), but when I try to connect to a Minecraft server, it only uses about 0.6 Mbps, which isn't enough to load the world and play smoothly without dropping out. On the other hand, Chrome and Discord work fine, even at full capacity, though I always disable them when playing Minecraft. But I notice something strange with Minecraft: once it hits around 1.1 Mbps, it instantly drops back down to 0.6 Mbps, so I can't join or keep the world running without getting disconnected.

Another choice would be to maintain a chrome browser running in the background and monitor your activity while playing. This approach uses more bandwidth.
Alternatively (my own preference) shut down chrome with advanced predictive settings and switch to a non-intrusive web browser, performing the same task. This will generate significantly less data.

Is this what you mean? It seems the Wi-Fi adapter stops the connection when there isn't enough data, which aligns with a power/data conservation setting.

As discussed earlier, it will rise briefly
Yet if it's meant to save power, why does it allow Chrome to use as much as necessary when I struggle to reach even a few Mbps in Java (in Minecraft)?
