Hey there. I own an AMD FX 9370 and a GTX 1070 FOUNDERS EDITION. I’m wondering why Battlefield 1 is capped at 60 FPS despite my attempts. I’ve tried boosting the core clock to 200 and memory to 600, but the GPU utilization stays around 65%. I’m using MSI Afterburner and want to know how to fix this or increase utilization to 100%. Also, why is my game stuck at 60 FPS? Is there a way to change that setting? Thanks.
BF1 isn't capped at 60fps because you're likely using VSync. The game adjusts its GPU usage based on what's needed, so if it only needs about 65% with VSync enabled, it'll consume less power. Increase the in-game settings and disable VSync to see better GPU utilization.

console ported to pc game? maybe they have a command or patch to unlock it. but usually that causes more damage than help for picture quality. i found some uploads on youtube claiming fps fixes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-0iPfOQ6jM and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhDCUBuUxsE. it’s worth noting most pc games weren’t made for pc—they were built for consoles and then adapted. https://diaryofdennis.com/2016/08/31/her...-commands/ suggests turning those settings off might help. http://www.bfcentral.net/battlefield-1-no-fps-cap-pc could be another angle. maybe they misled people to boost sales and then locked it down later? after purchase you realize it’s not what you thought?

the port to pc game might work, but it could depend on having a command or patch to unlock it. Often, that leads to worse picture quality instead of better. I found some videos on YouTube suggesting an FPS fix, like this one and another. It seems most PC games were made for consoles first before being adapted for PC use. Battlefield 1 has a decent port if you can call it one, and the frame rate stays consistent, which is important for a battlefield setting. I’m not sure what the issue is, but it looks like the developer probably uses VSync.
As the team mentioned, the V-Sync is activated, and the monitor runs at 60Hz. I understand that Battlefield1 doesn't maintain a consistent FPS at that speed.
It seems you're experiencing an issue where your monitor operates at 60Hz with VSync enabled. This might be causing the problem. Let me know if you need further assistance.

what exactly is being discussed here?
It seems like they're talking about performance and whether the game runs well on their setup. They mention using a GTX 1070 and getting around 80 frames per second at 2560x1440 resolution. They also question if it's really a great game, especially since it's available through streaming or downloads.
They seem to be frustrated about DRM issues but are trying to stay focused on the topic.
