I opened the epic launcher, and the update began. It’s version 1.5, about a gigabyte in size. The download is moving at 10MB per second, which is normal given the BDIX speed in my country. After roughly a minute, the PC crashes and displays the blue screen of death. Appreciate the help!

I didn't manage to retrieve the code. The blue screen appeared only during certain initial failures. Now the computer just freezes, and I shut it down using the power button to try fixing it again.

Did you refresh your graphics drivers? Often waiting a moment after freezing will stop the system from crashing. Look in C:\Windows\Minidump for blue screen logs; if none appear, create a dump and restart the computer again.

The directory in the C drive has no files. If I restart it again, I don’t see the error message, only a frozen window remains.

So it's a Fortnite specific issue? You're on the latest drivers and other games don't crash your PC? Have you tried reinstalling the game? If it's really a Fortnite specific issue I feel like a Fortnite specific forum would have more info. Also you can configure Windows to dump files: http://mywindowshub.com/how-to-configure...s-on-bsod/

After reading your past posts, it seems like you have a history of not being able to start games. What GPU and graphics drivers version are you running?

Yes, it's a Fortnite problem, PubG works well on my PC, but only Fortnite is affected.
