I built my PC in August and this is my first one. I experienced no issues initially, but recently Modern Warfare and Apex Legends have stopped launching alongside Simple Rockets 2. This began after attempting to download a Gamecube ROM for Dolphin emulator, leading me to believe I had a virus. I performed a complete PC and SSD reset, taking three hours to complete. Following this, I reinstalled Windows 10 and Apex Legends, but the problem persisted—I reach the EA and respawn logos, click "continue," and the game closes without an error message. Occasionally, the entire PC freezes, requiring a reset. I reinstalled all drivers and updates, ran multiple virus scans (all of which indicated no problems), and repaired EAC repeatedly over ten times, yet the game remains unplayable. Ark initially crashed but is now functioning correctly, and DayZ runs smoothly. I’ve spent approximately two days troubleshooting this issue, attempting various solutions from online resources and forums without success. If you have any suggestions or potential steps to try, I would appreciate your assistance.

Additionally, my CPU reaches 100% during Apex Legends launch! To date, after the PC reset, only Apex Legends, Ark, and DayZ are installed. The CPU rises to 100% then the game closes. My CPU has never exceeded 40% previously.

System specifications:
GPU: Radeon RX 5700
CPU: Ryzen 7 3800x
PSU: Corsair RM850x
Motherboard: ASUS Prime pro X570
Cooling: Corsair H100i
Storage: Samsung evo 860 1TB
RAM: 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance

If you can recall exactly when the crash occurred, examine the event viewer by searching for 'event viewer' in the search bar and navigating to ‘administrative events’. Then, scroll down to view the logs corresponding to the time of the crashes. What does it say?

It could be numerous factors causing this problem. What antivirus software are you using? It may be causing crashes, and it did this to me until I removed it.

If you can recall the exact moment of the crash, examine the event viewer screen and scroll down to view the reports recorded at that time. What does it indicate? Search for 'event viewer', navigate to 'administrative events', and scroll through the logs corresponding to when the crashes occurred.

Due to a firmware issue, performance power management features on processor 15 group 0 are disabled. Kernel processor power source indicates this problem.
