I assessed the situation by checking how much RAM the game consumes. The task manager showed unused code staying in memory for quick access. This doesn’t confirm all data is being used. In the resource monitor, I reviewed the hard fault page rate column—it should be near zero. A high hard fault rate indicates windows is swapping frequently, which can cause performance issues and may halt the game.

Thanks, it seems many are experiencing the same issue. It's interesting how my game runs smoothly without any crashes, but it eventually hits around 98% RAM usage, which makes me anxious about a blue screen. Fortunately, it hasn't happened before, but I'm still concerned. I hope WB Games releases an update soon. Thank you

When discussing RAM, and not VRAM, opt for a 2x16GB kit of DDR4 3200.

I was born in the nineties, used dial-up modems, and enjoyed the great computer gaming scene of the 2000s. Those old numbers don’t matter to me; as long as my games work, it’s enough. I still had to manage and verify everything.

They exceed the basic standards for CPU and GPU, for 720p low resolution, and aren't significantly below expectations for 1080p high. I had to look up the specifications elsewhere. Work blocks gaming sites. A 1660s is much faster than a GTX 960 or 470, and a 3600 is better than an i5 6600 or i5 1400. For 720p they should work fine on both CPU and GPU. RAM might meet the needs, but it doesn't consider how much Windows and other applications are using.

I'm nearly 40. I've been playing games and working with PCs from the start. I enjoy seeing how much better the performance and graphics have improved.

I was born in 1978 and deeply care about resolution and framerate. These aspects have always been important; they really made a big difference in Pirates! and King's Quest, especially if your Intel 8088 ran at 4.77 MHz or even 8 MHz turbo. Since games included graphics, there has never been a time when things were just a simple "runs/doesn't run" problem.

What a question! This person is a 42-year-old dad with two kids, who hasn't even touched Harry Potter, but they've been playing RPGs for a long time and love those types. They're wondering if it's worth it.

The issue has been resolved. A patch was released yesterday, improving RAM usage during gameplay. Initially it stabilized around 97%, but it gradually decreased to the 70s or lower. Tested personally today with a "barely minimum" machine—it runs smoothly. Graphics performance remains unaffected, especially texture quality, delivering great visuals even in low settings. Adjusting taxing settings improved population and view distance quality.

EDIT: Enabling RT might still lead to memory issues; many users report problems with this feature. I haven’t tested it due to personal preference. Feel free to share your experiences.

EDIT2: I also try this on my backup PC, which has 4GB VRAM and an Intel 4th gen CPU with 4 cores and 8 threads. In low settings, it behaves similarly. If anyone is interested, I’ll share the results soon.

Upgrade techniques change the way the game runs. When using the upscaling method in the game settings, it shows Intel XeSS even without an Intel GPU. I observed a sudden decrease in RAM usage (from the task manager), followed by freezing for 2-3 seconds to recalibrate. RAM dropped from %98 to around %92, then further fell to about %70 after the loading screen. A prior update also improved things. It seems people should experiment more and look into issues rather than just sharing irrelevant information on Steam forums. More technology makes it easier, but laziness can slow progress.
