I've played the game for a while, but many others did too, so I went back to Skyrim (it's a much better experience). I noticed it automatically supports 21:9 at 2560x1080 right away—no adjustments needed. It functioned perfectly. This makes me curious since I spent about twenty minutes tweaking ISi Text just so my monitor would work in Fallout 4. Even then, it only adjusted to my custom resolution while playing, not during loading screens or the main menu. Why was this change made? Was Bethesda prioritizing a quick fix like they did with Fallout 4’s 90% of players? If you know anything about this, I'd love to hear it
ya, same with eyefinity in most games No love to the extreme screen setup minorities I have no idea as to why though in most cases, it should take like 5 minutes for the dev to fix the fovs, maybe fallout 4 has some wierd technical problem that prevents them to do it, or its just laziness
Since "it just works" – Todd Howard, with a twist – though it doesn't
They aren't really comparable story-wise but seeing that Skyrim was made in 2011 it has SO much more content in it, I mean you could just simply walk past some homeless man who'd send you off on some trippy quest where you'd end up with some cool staff that turns things into ducks. It just had so many unique side quests that were really cool, and if they weren't unique you'd more than likely end with some cool piece of armor or weapon. Whereas fallout 4 really lacks there, I mean I guess you can try and obtain all the cool weapons and all 3 sets of x-01 power armor, maybe some magazines (hot rod ones were cool) but after that I just felt like after the main story there isn't much to do.
I believe my perspective has shifted; I see just as much unusual elements in Fallout 4 as before. While Skyrim offers its own quirky, humorous, and grand moments—along with some strange side tasks—it’s true that the main game feels like a standard fantasy adventure. What bothers me most is being forced into a faction choice, which feels too direct and obvious; I’d love more ambiguity or hidden options so I wouldn’t realize I was being guided.
I handle the task smoothly at 2560x1080 resolution. A minor tweak in the game files resolved the issue, and I’ve skipped the launcher.
